This is a card I made for a co-worker and friend. Her son was just deployed overseas and was having a rough time adjusting.  We passed this card around at work and people wrote him inspirational/supportive messages.  It was my honor to make this card - hope it put a smile on his face! 

As usual, I didn't write down sizes, etc., but I do know I used the Stand and Salute cartridge.  Thanks for looking!

60th Birthday card

I made this one for my wonderful Aunt Linda for her 60th birthday card shower.  I used the Nifty Fifties cardridge to make the icons, and the sentiments were done on the computer.  I really must learn to write this stuff down as I go, but I'm pretty sure I cut most of them at 2 1/2 inches, except the car, which for some reason I think I cut slightly smaller.  The strange white box on the inside is my crude attempt to blur out the message that I, of course, wrote before I remembered to take a picture.  Anyway, I thought it turned out pretty cute.  Thanks for looking!

Snowflake cards

My first Christmas cards of the year - first cards, period, in quite a while.  Life has been hectic - busy with going to my daughter's cheerleading and band competitions.  Thanks for looking!

I made this one a while ago for my daughter's preschool coordinator.  Still one of my favorites.

I made this card for my sister's birthday.  The pressure was on after the success of last year's Harry Potter card, so I opted for another pop culture obsession - The Hunger Games.  I used primarily Paper Doll Dress-Up and Everyday Paper Dolls along with downloaded pictures for the mockinjay and Peeta's bread (used clip art photo and then used a black crayon for the burnt effect).  It didn't turn out the way I'd hoped, especially the "girl on fire" dress, but still kinda cute.  She loved it, so that's what matters!

Made this for some co-workers who were attending a wedding on a golf course. They gave me no direction, just asked for a wedding card. As I know the bride as well, and knew she has a great sense of humor, I came up with this.  Kind of corny, but it was a hit.

Graduation cards 2012 - Posting so I'll remember how I did them when I go to make more next year.  Used the graduation cap from Locker Talk, cut at 2 1/2".

Mother's Day cards

These are the cards I made for my mother and mother-in-law for Mother's Day - a little Cricut and a little bling.

Mother's Day frame

Quick little frame Samantha and I made for my mom for Mother's Day using a $1.00 Wal-Mart frame, some paint, ribbon and bling we had in my stash already.  Samantha picked the picture - I think it turned out well!

Let them eat (cup)cakes!

This one was made for a co-worker for a little girl's birthday. I used Doodlecharms, Car Decals, and Home Decor. Just got the Car Decals cartridge from my Cricut rewards points and was super-psyched to use it - such cute stuff on there! Anyway, I think it turned out OK. Still trying to get the hang of shape cards...

Autumn wedding card

Another card for a co-worker and dear friend. She showed me the wedding invitation for guidance on the colors and theme. Sooooo, rather than, you know, going outside and picking up real leaves, I went to my trusty Cricut!

The leaves were cut at 4 1/2" from A Child's Year cartridge. I then squeezed most of the moisture out of a wet wipe and inked it using various contrasting fall colors which I then dabbed on the leaves. I let the leaves partially dry, then sprayed the leaves with Snow Queen Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. The spray spread the ink a little bit, giving a nice natural mottled look to the leaves. I then let them fully dry before applying to the card. The sentiments were stamped, and I used various scraps and bits and pieces for the rest of the card.

Wedding card easel

One of several wedding cards I made for a co-worker to choose from. Of course, I forgot to write any details down. About the only thing I can say is the cake is from Paper Doll Dress Up. The easel card seems to be my new favorite style. Thanks for looking!

Apple bushel basket birthday card

I made this card for a co-worker who was giving her sister an apple tree as a present. Her only request was that the card have something to do with apples. Well, I thought and thought and finally realized I could try one of those "flower pot" cards I've seen everywhere but never made myself.

I used Doodlecharms for both the basket (cut at 4 1/2", I think) and the apples (cut at 1 1/4") using scrap papers I had laying around. I printed the sentiment on the computer.

It seemed to be a big hit at work and I think it turned out pretty cute. Thanks for looking!

This is a birthday card I made for my sister-in-law. For onceI didn't use any Cricut. My youngest daughter picked out the theme and we used a cute die-cut we found at our local scrapbook store. The cute papers are from DCWV Pets Stack. This is also my first ever easel card - wow, was it super easy to do - don't know why I was so afraid to try it! Thanks for looking!

Black, red and white wedding tri-fold card

This is another card made for a coworker using the black, red and white color scheme from the wedding. Not my favorite...wanted it more elegant, but again, I was a little lacking in creativity last week. Will try to do better next time...

Onesie Baby cards

I made these for a coworker - without any preferences other than it had to be 2 girl and 1 boy card, I was free to do what I wanted. I was a little short on energy, creativity and time last week, but I still think these turned out pretty cute.

I used basic white 5 x 6.5 cardstock for the base. Background papers are all from The Paper Studio (so CUTE!!). The onesies were cut from the B is for Boy cartridge - cut at 4.5" for the girls and 5" for the boy card. The monkey on the boy card is from Everday Paper Dolls (cut at 2"), the rattle is from Sugar and Spice (also cut at 2") and the heart is from George and Basic Shapes (again, at 2"). The "Wee One" is from B is for Boy (cut at 1", I think...) and the "Little Princess" is from Sugar and Spice (again, at 1", I think).

Baby shower card

I made this one for a co-worker who is expecting, but not finding out the sex of the baby until he/she is born. I applaud that, but it made it a little more difficult to buy presents! I ended up getting a crib-to-floor light-up piano that had jungle animals on it, and made this card to match.

The animals were all made using Everyday Paper Dolls cut at mostly 3.5" (I can't remember for sure on all of them - MUST start writing this stuff down!).

It seemed to be a big hit at the shower. Thanks for looking!

Second 60th Birthday card

This is the card she chose. I added some "bling" to the big empty spot on the front, but unfortunately forgot to take another picture. Also, I know the diaper on the inside is hideous. I don't have a cartridge with a good diaper. Had to do the best I could with the diaper from the Paper Dolls cartridge. I'll remedy this by buying a new cartridge soon.

All that being said, I love how this turned out. It was my first attempt at a "pop-up card and I think that part worked well. I also have to give big kudos to my friend Trudi who came up with the idea for the sentiment. It got a big chuckle from all the girls at work.

60th Birthday card

One of my co-workers asked me to make a humorous 60th birthday card for her sister. And I had less than 24 hours notice. Now, I can be somewhat witty sometimes, but this one had me stumped. I decided to make 2 and let her choose. This is the one she didn't pick. I paraphrased a quote from George Carlin for the sentiment.

I used 5" x 6.5" basic white cardstock and some paper I had laying around (don't know the maker). For the background, I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge and for the circle shape, I used the Sugar and Spice cartridge. The number 60 was cut from Plantin' Schoolbook. I also used some birthday rub-ons for the balloons and confetti (again, don't know who made it).
