Picture perfect love

I made this card for a dear friend at work who is having her wedding shower this week. The bride and groom are in their 50's and it's somewhat of a non-traditional wedding, so I thought I could go a little "out of the box" on this card. They are both photography buffs, so I had the idea to incorporate that theme.
I made the camera at 4", cut from Locker Talk. I also used Design Studio to make the shaped base of the card (also at 4"). The bride and groom are from Stretch Your Imagination, cut at 1". I used Alphalicious for the "a picture perfect" and welded the words on DS. The "Love" is from the Heritage cartridge.

Hey Chicky!

I made 12 of these little pails for Easter baskets for my nieces and nephews. It's so hard to find something relatively easy to do that also satisfies my obsessive need to go overboard :). I started with $1.00 buckets from Target - so cute, and I loved the little ribbon accent!

The chick is from Simply Charmed, cut at 3 1/4". The scalloped square background is from Storybook, cut at 4" (I think). I mounted each on a candy-colored popsicle stick from my stockpile of miscellaneous supplies. I really wanted to add the message "Happy Easter to one of my favorite peeps", which I saw on someone else's project, but my daughter wouldn't let me do it - she said "They're not your peeps, they're relatives". Buzzkill!

I think they turned out pretty cute! Thanks for looking!

First Came Love...

I made this card for one of my dear friends. Miss Amber was one of the first people I hired when I was the store manager of our local video store, and she worked for me through her college years and beyond. She is one of the smartest, most genuinely wonderful women I've ever been lucky to know. She will always be one of "my kids", but now she's expecting her first little bundle of joy and I could not be happier for her and her husband. I just had to make this card to celebrate this milestone.

I used Stretch Your Imagination for the wedding bell and the baby carriage and Beyond Birthdays for the heart. I embossed the baby carriage using a Cuttlebug folder and the heart using a Sizzix folder - I'm such a cheat, though - I use my Sizzix Texture Boutique for all my embossing and it works just fine :)
